I chose the anchor symbol because of a scripture I read a few hours before my first surgery. Hebrews 6:19&20a says, “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and one which enters within the veil, where Jesus has entered as a forerunner…” Wearing anchor jewelry is a comforting reminder of the Truth. HOPE IS NOT a feeling I work to keep alive in my soul. HOPE IS the person of JESUS CHRIST, alive in my life, to daily empower me to meet the challenges I face…good or bad…temporary or permanent.
To date, I have been privileged to gift jewelry to 100+ gals, in 11 states, ranging in age from 5 to 68 years old. LIVING HOPE MINISTRIES
Living Hope jewelry outreach was birthed from my own personal cancer journey in 2017. While coming to grips with my diagnosis, there was a sense of isolation in my soul. It was me, alone in my body, and no one else could be there with me. I quickly came to the realization that while walking through the cancer process, I needed HOPE… a hope outside of myself & a hope beyond my personal limitations, doubts, & fears. Secondly, I wanted to know that I wasn’t alone. It was encouraging to be in contact with other gals who had previously walked this road or were presently walking it with me. I found a unique soul connect in the “sisterhood” of cancer.
