PREPARING YOUR PODCAST

Let’s Do This!
Each Truthstream podcast is designed with a purpose far beyond offering guests a place to share stories or drift through personal reflections. Testimonies have value, but our mission is more focused: to equip the Body of Messiah with clear, Spirit-led insight for living victoriously through the indwelling life of Yeshua. Every episode is intentionally shaped to deliver practical, biblical truth within a tight 30‑minute framework—because your time matters, and the message is urgent. We pursue genuine transformation, not mere conversation.

Quality of Productions
Casual podcasts tend to carry an easygoing, informal tone, often recorded with minimal equipment and little to no editing—so the sound quality can vary widely. In contrast, professionally produced podcasts rely on high‑grade microphones, controlled recording environments, and careful post‑production to deliver clear, polished audio. The real distinction is found in the preparation, the tools, and the production discipline, all of which shape both the listener’s experience and the podcast’s credibility. Our ministry is committed to the latter. We pursue excellence in audio, video, and overall production—because quality matters just as much as content. In saying this, please pay special attention to our Guest Preparations list.

Guest Preparation
Guide for Quality Recording Sessions
This guide ensures every guest is ready for a smooth, professional, and impactful recording experience.

1. Confirm Schedule & Details
-
Confirm the email with date, time, and platform link.
-
Review the expected session length, key topics, and questions. The list you provided for the podcast is not a guaranteed set of questions the host will ask; rather, it serves as a general pool of options the host may draw from.
2. Technical Setup
-
Use a reliable microphone or headset (avoid built‑in laptop mics).
-
Choose a quiet, echo‑free room with minimal background noise.
-
Test the internet connection one hour before recording; wired is preferred.
-
Close unnecessary apps to reduce lag.
3. Environment Preparation
-
Position the camera at eye level with good lighting (natural light or a lamp in front of your face, yet behind the camera).
-
Avoid setting up with a window in the background.
-
Silence phones and notifications.
-
Keep a warm beverage—such as tea or coffee—on hand during the podcast. It helps soothe and relax the vocal cords, supporting clearer, more comfortable speech throughout the session.
-
Keep water nearby for comfort.
4. Personal Readiness
-
Review talking points or questions in advance.
-
If your host directs the conversation in a new direction, go with the flow. Your host will know what the listening audience wants to hear.
-
Practice concise, authentic answers.
-
Dress appropriately for video if applicable. Your host will be wearing a sports jacket. The podcast colors are blue and gold.
5. Recording Etiquette
-
Speak clearly and at a steady pace.
-
Pause briefly before answering to avoid overlap - we call it the two-second production pause (count to 2 in your mind before answering).
-
Stay focused on the topic while allowing natural flow.
6. Final Pre‑Session Check
-
Join the call 10 minutes early for tech testing.
-
Perform a quick sound and video check.
-
Take a moment to focus yourself for calmness and clarity.
-
Make sure your video and audio links in Zoom are on (in the lower-left corner of the screen).
-
During the pre‑session introductions, the host will confirm that everything is functioning properly. Once the 3‑2‑1 countdown is given, the recording will begin. There’s no need to stress over mistakes—post‑production will take care of all those details before the final podcast is released.
Post Production Agreement
All podcast guests agree, as a condition of participation, to actively promote the final released episode across their social media channels, newsletters, websites, and any relevant writing platforms. This shared commitment ensures broader reach, strengthens collaborative impact, and supports the mission behind each episode’s message.

By participating in this recording, the guest acknowledges and agrees that all rights, title, and interest in and to the podcast— including its audio, video, distribution, and derivative materials—are the sole property of Truthstream Media and IOM America. The guest further understands that, while ownership remains exclusively with Truthstream Media and IOM America, they are granted non‑exclusive permission to share and promote the final released episode across their personal and professional networks, including social media, websites, newsletters, and related platforms.
